The Follow-up Report
This September 20 participants, from 12 countries met in Stuttgart for the yearly 7-day IBBK #HANDS ON Biogas course.
Among the participants were engineers, scientists, postgraduates, project managers, plant constructors and operators. All lectures were held at the SIMT (Institute for Management and Technology) by renowned experts of the field, providing insight into today's operating of biogas productions.
The lectures were complemented by extensive study tours to 5 state-of-the-art biogas plants, from biomethane gas station to municipal bio-waste digestion plants. On site digester samples were taken and analysed, and a tour to the laboratories of the University of Hohenheim was given.
The attendees enjoyed the networking exchange with fellow participants from 12 countries (Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, India, Ireland, Kenya, Malta, Nigeria, Romania, Switzerland, The Netherlands and UK) and teaching experts of the course.

Am letzten
Dienstag im Oktober veranstaltet CARMEN e.V., die bayerische
Koordinierungsstelle für Nachwachsende Rohstoffe, Erneuerbare
Energien und nachhaltige Ressourcennutzung, ein Fachgespräch. Sein
Titel lautet „Biogas im ökologischen Landbau“.
Die Veranstaltung
findet im oberbayerischen Kaufering, das 35km südlich von Augsburg
liegt, statt. Die FnBB e.V., der engste Kooperationspartner des IBBK,
tritt dabei als Mitveranstalter auf. In der Satzung verankertes
Hauptanliegen des Vereins ist das Fördern der Verbreitung einer
nachhaltigen und sozialverträglichen Erzeugung und Nutzung von
Energie aus Biomasse. Vor diesem Hintergrund ist es leicht
nachvollziehbar, dass Michael Köttner, 2. Vorsitzender der FnBB e.V.
und Geschäftsführer der IBBK Fachgruppe Biogas GmbH, als Referent
an der Veranstaltung mitmirkt.
Neben fachlichen Informationen kommen im Rahmen des Fachgesprächs auch Praktiker zu Wort. Abgerundet wird der Tag durch den Besuch einer „Bio-Biogasanlage“.

Das baden-württembergische Förderprogramm „Beratung landwirtschaftlicher Betriebe“ ist in die zweite Runde gegangen. Wir sind wieder dabei und freuen uns, dass unsere Beratung landwirtschaftlicher Biogasanlagenbetreiber auch in Zukunft vom Land Baden-Württemberg und dem Europäischen Landwirtschaftsfond für die Entwicklung des Ländlichen Raums (ELER) gefördert wird. Bis zum Jahr 2020 beraten wir in den Modulen 112 „Einstiegsmodul Biogas“ und 113 „Grundmodul Biogas“.
Die Förderung für das Einstiegsmodul beträgt 50% oder maximal 1.000 Euro. Das Grundmodul wird sogar mit 80% oder maximal 1.100 Euro gefördert.
Das Gute daran ist: unser Klient zahlt nur seinen Anteil der Beratungskosten und wir beantragen die Förderung beim Land. Hier hat also ausnahmsweise der Berater den Papierkrieg und nicht der Landwirt. Wenn das nicht eine gute Nachricht ist.

End of May this year IBBK trainers Michael Köttner and Katrin Kayser went to Chile to train future biogas operator trainers on biogas basics and training methodology. This training was conducted in close collaboration with the Universidad Adolfo Ibañez, namely Claudia Pabon Perreira and Robert Pardo Silva, in Santiago de Chile.
In total 30 persons joined the training – five more than originally foreseen, but less than the more than 40 persons who had applied for joining the event. All participants were either biogas experts or trainers themselves and we were honoured to deliver such a training course to colleagues.
Over the course of five days trainees as well as trainers enjoyed a fun mix of interactive (group) work, classroom lectures, excursion, laboratory session and video making.
